My whole perspective on government has changed in the last few years.

When we went into Iraq I had a lot of concerns about how we would handle inner city fighting (if it came to that) and how we could set up a democracy in a country that had had a "ruling class of Sunnis for hundreds of years" but a "majority Shiite population".

BUT...I figured that our government had the BEST minds in the world and literally years to figure everything out so they must have considered ALL those contingencies. It turns out that they apparently weren't thinking about it as much as I was or were just too arrogant and oblivious to really care.
