Doren; Java has a niche. If you have a bunch of Java fractured routines stored in ROM at known addresses, all that is needed is download the keys and data to assemble the aps and data. This might be only 20% of the time to download the things intacto, and allow faster useage. Also faster CPUs will help.
As we all know the unions and management all put their heads in the sand, and when they emerged half the jobs were gone along with half the market. I think Intel has strategic markting people doing war room scenarios for all the variations of all these parameters we have spoken of this past month or two. They have billions riding on it. Yet even they cannot stop AMD from costing them 2 billion with their fire break price cuts. I sure hope some manufacturers support AMD with orders to keep AMD alive and strong. Can you imagine what would happen if AMD went broke, Pentium prices would double overnight. I have about a 50% success rate in selling people on the K6. It is better and cheaper, but stil they are sheep like sold fools.

Tiger in your tank sold a lot of gas, so does Intel inside. I know all gas of same octane is generic. And so it is with x86 chips. Will the public forget the Intel Inside, and follow their wallets??
