Sabina, Teuton drill 1 m of 26.54 g/t Au at Del Norte

2006-12-14 10:08 ET - News Release

Also News Release (C-TUO) Teuton Resources Corp

Mr. Abraham Drost of Sabina Silver reports

SABINA AND TEUTON DRILLING AT DEL NORTE HITS HIGH GRADE SILVER AND A NEW ZONE WITH BROAD WIDTHS OF GOLD MINERALIZATION AT "3 OZ VEIN"

Sabina Silver Corp. is releasing results from a total of 3,060 metres (10,038 feet) of recent drilling on Teuton Resources Corp.'s Del Norte project in the Stewart-Eskay Creek mining district in British Columbia.

Highlights include:

high-grade gold and silver values of up to 26.54 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (0.77 ounce per ton) and 1,208 g/t silver (35.2 ounces per ton) over one metre at depth on the new SP vein; and
high-grade gold values of up to 26.77 g/t gold (0.78 ounce per ton) over 0.7 metre within a broad interval of gold mineralization grading 2.52 g/t gold (0.07 ounce per ton) over 32.4 metres in a new area in the southern portion of the property historically called the 3 Oz vein showing.

The high-grade gold and silver values from the SP vein are from an intersection located approximately 75 metres below surface where grab sample values of up to 3,910 g/t silver (114 ounces per ton) and 19.5 g/t gold (0.57 ounce per ton) were discovered this past summer (see Stockwatch news Aug. 29, 2006).

The three holes drilled on the 3 Oz vein tested the vein/shear zone over a vertical distance of approximately 300 metres on one section. True thickness of the 3 Oz vein is estimated to be approximately 29 m (95 feet). Surface samples from the 3 Oz vein returned values of up to 29.65 g/t gold (0.86 ounce per ton). High-grade surface samples and the presence of high-grade gold values in hole SDN-06-02 warrant additional exploration along this robust vein/shear zone which is open to the north and south and to depth.

Two current holes designed to test southward continuity of high-grade silver and gold values in the LG vein/K zone area structure encountered last year in hole 2005-02 were abandoned before reaching target depth due to complications arising from the glacier-borne drilling platform. The high-grade zone (114 ounces per ton silver and two ounces per ton gold over 2.8 feet) remains to be tested further in a future exploration program.

Final 2006 drill results are presented below.

Establishing a continuum between silver- and gold-rich vein breccia-type mineralization at Del Norte and precious metal-enriched exhalative mineralization typifying the Eskay Creek deposit remains a priority for a 2007 exploration program at Del Norte.

Harvey Klatt, PGeo, is the qualified person for Sabina Silver in charge of the 2006 exploration program on the Del Norte property and the application of a series of blanks, standards and duplicates in the sample stream as part of comprehensive quality-assurance/quality-control standards. Mr. Klatt has reviewed the technical data contained herein and has approved printing the data in this news release. Pioneer Laboratories of Richmond, B.C., an accredited facility, assayed the Del Norte core.

The 2006 exploration program at Del Norte was financed by Sabina according to terms of an option agreement with Teuton Resources Corp., whereby Sabina Silver can earn up to a 65-per-cent interest by spending $2.5-million on the property over four years and taking the project to a feasibility study.

We seek Safe Harbor.
