Michael and All: I talked to Ascend IR. Infact two people returned my call. They
sounded very confident. I asked all the questions you name. About possible earnings
warnings, Cowens presentation etc., etc.,. Finally I asked them that the stock dropped
more than 35% with a rumour that ASND might miss the # and why the company
hasnt come out with a response?. She told me that ASND is very shareholder oriented
and she said if there is any danger of meeting the # we would have released that
information as quickly as we come to know etc.,etc., . They sounded very confident.

When I did my research, I noticed that ASND never missed any of their qtr. Therefore
I am still confident that ASND might meet its #s.

Regards

Kumar

I ALSO SPOKE and just got off the phone with Investor Relations of Ascend. I have
spoken to IR of many companies in the past and I have a feel of the manner in which
they speak. Todays discussion was from a VERY CONFIDENT MANAGEMENT.

Here are some points we discussed:

The company is only permitted in its quiet period to make public statements regarding
its current period and that is why no statements to this effect was able to be said in the
Cowen conference today, nor to me as an individual investor..

IR however did tell me its business is strong and the analysts are expecting very good
business for the forseeable future

IR also told me that the company has not missed earnings in the past, nor are they
planning any sort of an announcement (which imho is a good sign that no big surprise is
expected).

IR also assured me that "business is sound as ever".

SOUNDED VERY CONFIDENT AND REASSURING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The analysts are very SUSPECT IMHO. I believe they should be held accountable by
name and firm when the stock HITS $40-$50 soon, and their names should be
repeated over and over on these boards so that nobody should never ever again listen
to their opinions.

Well ... who's word is suspect now? Should IR be held accountable?
