I wouldn't read too much into the precision of these roadmap slides. They're probably doing things like trying to fit the words in and not as concerned about keeping things exactly to scale, IMO. And my guess is the 'fade in' is meant to imply wiggle room (i.e. it'll start sometime during the fade-in).
