And we haven't "lost" anything yet. No gain in 2006, but no loss.

Not that we're planning on selling, but one of my neighbors is a realtor and she tells me these things.

Actually I wouldn't mind it if land prices around here dropped. Lower property taxes, for one. Easier to buy a second home (vacation, retirement) for another.
