I think the proposal is around $7.50.

What jobs would go overseas? It is my contention that the sort of jobs that pay minimum wage now, and those potentially affected by a ripple effect (of say $10 and down), are not exportable jobs. I'd say that the majority of those jobs are in the direct service category.

If a raise did have an effect on the total number of objects, one could make an argument that it would have an effect on illegal immigration, in that fewer low paying jobs would be available.
