Human can opener becomes internet video star Last Updated: Thursday, December 14, 2006 \| 5:08 PM CT CBC News Saskatchewan has its first YouTube star and boy, does she have tough teeth. Saskatoon resident Rebekah Klotz can open a beer can with her lower choppers and a two-minute video of her doing that recently became a sensation on the popular internet video website. More than 900,000 people have watched the video, which shows the cheerful 21-year-old efficiently opening a can by biting into it near the top and spinning it around. A male then drinks from it. She's said she's been doing the party trick for years. Klotz, who has been on the TV news and the front pages of newspapers, is taking her 15 minutes of fame in stride but said she's "very embarrassed" by the attention. "I don't know if it's a good embarrassment or bad. It's just I'm not used to being the centre of attention," she told CBC News on Thursday. The young woman's friends are lobbying to get her onto the Late Show with David Letterman. They think her routine is perfect for Letterman's Stupid Human Tricks. People from the show have e-mailed Klotz to say they've seen the video and are keeping her in mind cbc.ca
