Being a zero sum game has nothing to do with it. The water IS rising, in China, India, Vietnam and many other countries. Enough to more than compensate for OUR declining standard of living. In the aggregate, the boats ARE rising.

That's spot on.

And in the ME oil sheikdoms the boats are heading for the moon. I remember when OPEC had $22-$28 as their target price range about three years ago or so. Now they're cutting production because oil is down to $60 (oh no!!). Whatever happened to the $28 cap target!?
