Another part of the problem... we're giving our wealth to Arabs royal families and big oil executives because our political leaders don't have the courage to curb our consumption of oil.

Well, you can decide for yourself how much you want to drive. I walk to work. Gas costs me about $20 per month.

How about athletes and entertainers? If anyone needs to get less of your wealth, its them. Cap the major league baseball salary at $120k per player with a scale $60k-$120k, and cut stadium ticket prices with the savings. There are still going to be millions of athletes that are willing to play for those wages, and we all get to go to the games for less. And get rid of copyright laws surround music - make singers earn their pay through live concerts. There are still going to be millions of people who will want to be professional musicians (it's a fun job, why pay Mariah Carey millions??), and CDs could cost $1 (distribution + plastic case + compact disc cost) instead of $15.
