Thanksalot. I am not a teacher, and never have been. I spent all of my active years in the corporate world with a small corporation that never had a union. The furniture manufacturing union got close enough to cause elections three times, but were turned down by our employees every time in landslides.

When the family corporation was sold, I kicked around the country for a few years, and took a job buyers position with a TV cable company, and was approached to become a member of their union. That person had sense enough never to talk to me again. I can understand unions in the global industry corporations because those companies don't give a damn about their employees, but I still hate the idea of a union in a smaller business, of any kind.

The poor fools that join those kinds of unions, don't realize that a strike has never paid for itself in the history of unions. They pay dues, and get little, if anything, for their money.
