My reply "The Love and Mercy of God are indeed amazing; that's why we are still breathing." Was in response to Snuffs previous post Message 23104766 where he said "Nothing like the love of God."

Joe keeps quoting the same verse without any comment because he does not have the intellectual wherewithal to actually engage the issue honestly. You have at least tried to respond but there are several problems with your approach that simply reduce it to question begging.

Your morally anachronistic approach ignores the fact that these actions were done in response to a direct command from God, rather than from the sinful impulses of individual men. You admit as much by the quotes you provide. If you admit God exists and commanded these things then there goes your Atheism doesn't it?

You may think that you are morally superior to God Himself (you are alone in that assessment) and that God has no right to judge His own creatures, but you have these things backward. In fact you arrogantly reserve the right to pass judgment on God while denying the same for the creator and sustainer of the universe.

Lets see according to you it is morally acceptable for a woman to kill an unborn child for nothing more than the sake of convenience but it is immoral for God to pass judgment. Hmmmmmm

The Canaanites practiced child sacrifice along with a host of other perversions. Are you saying that God does not have a right to judge such things????? A clear answer to this question would be most enlightening.
