they can inflate for a while longer

This wasn't my question. My question is, what kind of impact to the Bank of China ballance sheet would a loss of $ 200 Billion in US investments do? Since they are not for profit corporation does it matter whether they lose $ 200 or $ 500 Billion, and if it does, how? Same question applies to all FCB that are financing US consumer and government. Since I am not an expert in these matters can someone explain it to me?
