Benefits and Implementation of TD-SCDMA ifip.org This is a good overall explanation of TD-SCDMA. It seems like it was brought forth as the ideal compromise to differing global wireless telcom standards. It even seems like a simple enough concept (see Figure 3). It is unfortunate that it's containing everything including the kitchen sink has delayed it's coming forth. It has now reached a critical juncture in it's history. It is easy to see how the complexity of combining TDD/CDMA has required quad-core DSP chipsets. No doubt, those going down this route have chosen to attempt to champion numerous realms of expertise in one foul swoop. Kind of like landing a man on the moon ... One small step by half a dozen companies and one giant leap for the industry.
