GM and Ford must dispose partial ownership of foreign automobile businesses to the respective governments with a profit to refinance their US business. This, Wall Street can handle with a commission.

It is important to consolidate the assets instead of holding many car companies losing money everywhere(currency exchange risks too).

This will enable US cars to export profitably by focusing on world market shares.
