Ending the market for illegal workers is not free... No kidding. He won't put a number on the anticipated increase in wages to attract Americans to meat packing jobs, and he hasn't even discussed the implementation of the illegal's removal or the recruiting and training of their replacements. When pressed he changes the topic to "illegals are against the law!", which is pretty hard to dispute, but has nothing to do with his goal of improving the lot of the US middle class. Never mind the fact that many of the illegals and their kids become the US middle class over time. I think he was part of Bush's post "major military operations" in Iraq planning team....
