How many of those insurgents or terrorists do you think had purple fingers?

What's your point? That terrorists can vote?

And before Iraq had an elected government, what did you call the insurgents then?

Before they had an elected government? During the time of the Iraqi Interim Government they would have been insurgents.

During the time when the Coalition Provisional Authority ran the country they could perhaps be called an insurgents (if you consider the CPA to be a government), or they could be called "Iraqi Resistance" (if you want to focus on the fact that the CPA was a foreign administration). If they targeted innocent civilians then they would still be terrorists.

One more quick one. ok here is the scenario. The USA has been invaded by Iraq. They took down our government and allowed us to vote in another government. I continue to take up arms against the invaders (liberators). I want to know what you would call me. And when I say you I mean you as just another citizen of the USA.

The same terms would apply.

My opinion of you and your actions would depend on the context of the situation, but the terms themselves apply the same way in different situations.
