Are you saying that the top 1% can support 100% of the retail sales (economy by extension)? If not, what percentage do you think the top 1% supports? I didn't see the signs of Christmas, consumer buying orgy in today's (over the last month for that matter as well) tape of the retail stocks. The insiders of the retail establishments already know the sales numbers (they are being tabulated hourly/daily. I worked for HD for 7 years so I know how it works) for most of this quarter. Why do you think they are unloading their stocks like there would be no tomorrow?
