I agree. He is a spineless soldier who simply parroted the company line even as Secretary of State. He is trying to save what little reputation he has left.

Let's not forget that this is the same guy who went in front of the U.N. security council to tell the world loudly about the Saddam threat with WMD despite having had misgivings privately.
