Start with cutting the Dept of Def. We outspend all of the rest of the world combined. Bring our troops home from Iraq and you save $600B a year. Bring them home from all foreign countries that can defend themselves, like Japan, South Korea, and you'd save another $100B a year. Cut pork from the budget and you'd save another $500B a year. Restructure the tax system and get rid of the IRS and you'd save $100B a year and bring in far more taxes through a consumption tax.

Get us off the oil and we can save Americans $500B a year.

There's plenty to save. All we need is the political will.
