Not so fast. From the CPQ thread, I'm reading that the under $1,000 computers are accelerating penetration to new users and expanding the number of computers in the home. At the same time the hi-end models are appealing to those upgrading.

"Unless a new killer ap comes along this is not going to be easy."

How about the Internet, E-mail, digital photography, games. The key here is there are lots of uses to chose from.

All these aps are making the device less of a "computer" and more of an "interactive communicating device". I wonder if people figured sales of telephones would flatten out once they reached 35%-40% penetration?
