One of my all-time favorite American success stories: Hannah and Barbera were fired by MGM because they didn't think they had the talent to compete with Warner Bros and Disney. They started their own shop and became the biggest success in children's animation. The Flintstones, Rubbles, Jetsons, Yogi and Boo Boo, and all their friends are quietly remembering tonight.
