I agree that I would prefer NOT to see an S-8. However, as I posted, it's simply a fact of life, that the mere filing of an S-8 moves the stock down, before any shares are even issued, as many people feel exactly as you do. So, is that a buying opportunity or just a sign of more to come?
I have posted often that I would change the whole system and prevent the sale of shares into the public unannounced. However, we have to live with the system that we have. I do suggest that many take the time to learn these issues. Instead of being critical of longs who work within the current framework, it may better serve the total system and all investors to work towards the elimination of an environment that encourages scamming from all sides, and that includes, MM's, hedge funds, Naked Shorting, touts, insiders, and crooked managements.
