Third World nations such as India and China have had their experience with religious and sectarian rife 50 years ago. These nations realized that it would get them nowhere and they changed. Today, they are considered the most progressive nations as evidenced by their booming prosperity. The US on the other hand is sliding backwards into areas such as election fraud, religious rife etc. etc.
