MARUM IDENTIFIES LARGE ANOMALY IN ALBERTA

September 29, 1997 -- The Company reports that it has reviewed processed, de-cultured, aeromagnetic data covering approximately 10% of its Chinchaga Craton diamond properties. One of its permits in Range 3, West of the 6th Meridian, north of the Hotchkiss access road, contains a large, distinct magnetic anomaly. This anomaly is considered to be a kimberlite target since it continues at depth and appears to have a 2 km cross-section at a depth of 2.5 km. The anomaly's multiple bandpass characteristics indicate that it represents a surface or near-surface body with deep roots.

The anomaly located in Township 100, Range 3 West of the 6th Meridian is adjacent to and immediately west of the Mount Hope Resources Corp. (ASE-MH) property which was recently reported to contain a large cluster of deep-rooted aeromagnetic anomalies.
