I find it humorous that you (like so many others) tell us you sold Ascend today, right before the news (after saying you owned it last week and were predicting last week that it would hit $40). Why didn't you let us know earlier? Also, wasn't it you who said in the last two weeks that since Ascend had not announced, that everyone was OK until earnings because they were in a quiet period? I quote your post 13046 from September 16, 1997 on this thread: "ASND Can't Warn and Will Not Warn since they are currently in the "quiet period" which is 30 days before earnings. With no warning coming after the bell, one should be able to drop some money into ASND without worrying about the possibility of an earnings warning. I think today kicked off the start of the the 30-day quiet period. Of course, this doesn't prevent ASND from being downgraded. Actually, there was supposed to be a Cowen conference today where ASND's CEO was supposed to present at 4:30pm EST in Boston. I have no idea what was said there, tho'. Cowen was one of the brokerage houses that did not make any comments whatsoever last week. I guess they were waiting for what ASND's CEO had to say." I'll take you up on your offer to others to provide proof that you sold Ascend today, and will make the same offer to you whenever I make such timely claims as you have.
