McCain is screwed now for backing Bush on a troop build-up. Since McCain is the GOP favorite for 2008, this makes it easier for ANY democrat to win. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

My guess is that if Obama is just bluffing and really waiting until next time when he's more established, Hillary if she runs would lose to Kerry or Edwards, Kerry would beat Edwards by a nose, and Gore would beat them all if he finally decides he wants to fight for it. Therefore, Obama and Gore are the big wild cards. As I've said before, I thnk if Hillary runs she will lose, even to Edwards and Kerry.

McCain is still a formidable candidate amongst swingvoters but this Iraq position of his is so unpopular and even denounced by the Joint Chiefs, so he's just lost a chunk of his military mojo.
Good news for democrats in 2008.
