I think to me one of the problems is the "off one beat" aspect of so much of the President's verbiage. It seems he is always behind the curve of events...or refusing to acknowledge and deal more aggresively with the most recent aspects of the problem. The reluctance to acknowledge what seems apparant to everyone else (and then the eventual admittance of it) makes it appear he is not in charge but being managed by events.

Not good in his role. JMHO.
