Agreed that artificial trees are really convenient. I've taken it a step further and keep two trees intact, covered with giant plastic bags(bike gift bags)in a corner of the storage basement. Past few yrs my motto has been "bigger is better" for decorations...lighted wreaths & trees, nothing else. That way Christmas is back in storage pre-Valentine's day.<g>
