Destieux comes up with similar ratings to the other St. Emillion. Could be that the Wine Spectator is not high on this region of Bordeaux. They are very opinionated and lots of their opinions run counter to mine. It is just a good research site.

As for Destieux, I'm not familiar with it. Maybe someone at Robin Garr's wine discussion group would know. It is a good group with lots of professionals as well as amateur winos. I don't post there much anymore. Easy to register and post a question.

I'm more a red Burgundy girl (pinot noir) or white Bordeaux (sauv. blanc). Usually the big bordeaux are too expensive for me although the Wine Spectator showed the 2002 at $14 per bottle on your wine. If I'm going to spend large on red, it would be a Brunello. MP
