The GOP is suddenly very weak, mainly because Bush has been exposed as a real menace to society and most people finally see that. McCain and Guiliani both drank the Iraq koolaid and backed Bush 100%, though McCain did suggest more troops. Romney doesn't distance himself from Bush either so you have three candidates who are tainted going in. If they were smart they'd get behind Hagel. He's the only one who really spoke out against Bush.

I say our best candidates are Gore, Kerry, Edwards, Biden, Obama and Hillary in that order. Vilsack, Clark and Richardson are wild cards not likely to go very far, but all good men. All VP possibilities as well. If they all run, it could be a real log-jam.

What goes around comes around, huh? Time for at least 8 years of Democratic dominance.
