Tim, it's not a matter of "forcing changes". And if such changes happen over a decade or two, that's pretty quick for such major shifts in thinking [as a population bust, a NUN creation].

And it is just like a Tamagochi fad. If people get the idea of a NUN, they'll start voting Libertarian and it will just become a self-evident fact, which will be formalized.

You won't get a NUN with a socialist foundation, which is the conventional idea of a World Government and why so many despise the idea. It has to start at the other end of the political spectrum. It would be collectivist only in the sense of common interests [such as clean air, oceans, protected borders, and managed spectrum], not a subsuming of individuals, countries and their property to some Kremlinized Central Planning Authority.

Ideas happen. They are like a will o the wisp. What seems inevitable now, is a mirage tomorrow, replaced by another reality. The 1000 Year Reich lasted barely a decade. The USSR iron-curtain monolith crumbled and is no more - in seemingly a twinkling of an eye. CDMA was a fantasy which breached the laws of physics and now you are using it, or if not using it, you are immersed in petatrillions of CDMA phragmented photons. Globalstar has you surrounded.
