Jim,

BINX makes a number of other bioabsorbable prodcuts for various surgical sub-specialties. They make devices for Urologists, Gynecologists and orthopaedic surgeons. Their Orthopaedic devices include various screws and plates and tacks (for the shoulder). There has been a push in ortho to go to absorbable products and hardware for various fracture fixation procedures as well as reconstructive procedures. This eliminates the need to remove the hardware a year or two after the surgery, yet it stays around long enough to allow the bone or the tissues to heal. We use a number of their absorbable prodcuts and like them very much. These prodcut lines, as per mgmt have seen a very nice increase in interest and use over the past year or two and BINX has a bunch of new absorable products in their pipeline.
