Liar. Gore never said he invented the internet.
What he said was that he and others helped crate it and that is true. Gore was the pointman for the creation of the internet in congress, one of the only ones in DC championing it.
As for socialism, Bush is the biggest government spender in world history, and the worst part is so much of its debt spending, borrowed money fromthe communist Chinese and the saudis. He really has a nerve letting those two countries own our butts.
Socialism just means government programs. Like our Postal Service. That's soialist. Not a dirty word though the rightwing tries to pretend it's "communism" or some such BS. Every single country in the world is socialist, more or less, including the USA. Some of the goverbment programs work beautifully. But Bushies have been ruining our government programs, privatizing them, letting their cronies rip them off for billions, making the people pay extra for what we used to get for free, poorly serving our military, being completely AWOL with FEMA. Billlions and billions in fraud, abuse, outright theft, corruption across the board.
Bush's privatized government is FAR WORSE and FAR MOST COSTLY than traditional government programs/socialism. Also, we desdperately need and most people want national health care. About 40% of what you are paying now is either waste, fraud or profiteering. And the drug companies and big oil get to write off their phony dishonest TV ads which means we subsidize their lies. |
