The U.S. leaders are dooming our Democracy to suicide and the criminal about it is that the people who will bare the brunt of this suicide will be our children.

Well, the US has had deficit spending for years, the economy is expanding, and unemployment is low, so when your anticipated suicide going to begin? How many years from now?

Interesting, how you have become the defender of the American budget deficit on this thread. Its a pretty irrational position when you think about it. Even if we are able to service that debt, and so far the economy has allowed for that possibility, think about all the things that could have been done with the money were it not spent paying the interest on that debt. How many new and experimental industries, ultimately beneficial to the the country, could have been funded with the debt payment money? That's what makes your position so irrational. We certainly can 'afford' the debt in monetary terms and so far have still been able to grow the economy, but can we afford it in terms of national advancement and national quality of life. Is it causing us to lose our edge in the global economy? I think it would be fairly easy to put together an argument that shows how untenable your position is.

And if this is really you view, what in the world are you doing owning stock in CSCO? If the US is going down the tubes, surely you can find a better place to park some investment money...

Why not? CSCO is a multinational player and is still growing. Investors have every reason to believe its books are in order and that its CEO is competent. Why would you not buy its stock?
