Can't believe I missed that one, thanks. The Wimax part sure is detailed, I was a skeptic on the technology until I heard Barry West From Nextel(Sprint) give the "thumbs up". So they feel latency/QoS would be sufficient for commercial grade VoIP in a fixed environment but don't feel the handoffs would be on par with RevA, thus mobile VoIP would be difficult. As I listen to the RevA carriers, while they do not have plans to move regular voice traffic to DO, they will be moving or introducing a wide variety of IP Voice content - IP PTT, IP Video Telephony, etc.

I have a question on the topic. I've read through all the docs on 3GPP Rel6, trying to determine if the same IP Voice content will be enabled as RevA will support. While I see a lot of QoS type enhancements, I also see several circuit-switched enhancements in Rel6 that would seem unnecessary if these applications were transitioning to IP. Do you think the existing CSD Video calls will migrate to IP in Rel6, or beyond? Same for PTT?

TIA, Cooters
