completely messing up" another country ISN'T victory. The question was whether or not the US military was "invincible". I think it is. You can define "victory" however you want, but if the US military sets out to achieve a military goal (as in, destroy their enemy) I would say they are invincible. They will succeed. The opponent will fail. Whether the politicians will follow that up with a "victory" is a different question. Militairies fight wars and destroy things. What comes after has little to do with the armed forces.
