Before everyone starts throwing their savings into XYBR stock, you should get the people from XYBR who read this thread to answer some questions relative to the Sony announcement.
<<
1) Why is it that Bill Gates with all his resources can't do any better than a 65% accuracy on voice commands, yet Xybr with 43 people expect to solve this problem by next June with a small British software company?
>>

Bill Gates was talking about 65% accuracy in *conversation*. XYBR
computers don't need to pick up conversation but rather only
application/context sensitive commands.
Also, keep in mind that Microsoft did *not* develop its internet
explorer but rather licensed the technology. Similarly microsoft
bought webtv and licensed citrix's tech for remote access etc. etc.
The point is that microsoft does not always develop its own technology and often times relies on small startups to provide it.
<<
2)What breakthrough in battery technology does Xybr expect will happen that will significantly reduce the size of their packaging to meet the consumer requirements? >>

SONY has lots of expertise in consumer electronics(as you are no doubt well aware). They have been solving the same problem
since their walkman days when they moved a clunky tape player to
something your average roller blader could wear and still junp barrells!
My understanding is that they are looking towards lithium batteries
and towards low power chips(such as tillamook(?)). Essentially
this problem is not a new one but rather is being researched well
by every notebook maker on the planet(including SONY which
just came out with its megacool Libretto notebook).
<<
3)What patents does Xybr or Sony have that will prevent Compaq, Motorola, or Dell from knocking off their product and eating their lunch?
>>

Good question! I am not familiar with XYBR's patent portfolio but only
know that they have a "broad patent on wearable computers".
The above mentioned patent must have *some* merit which is
forcing a shark like SONY to collaborate with a minnow.

4)Why does Sony need Xybr after the initial design?

Don't know. But I am sure the investors wont complain if XYBR gets bought out by SONY or get a licensing fee and simultaneously competes in the MILITARY market with the much improved product!
<<
5)How much revenue will Xybr get from this Sony deal and when will it show up?
>>

I hope to hear about that at the presentation today. :)
<<
6)Even though several people from Xybr routinely read and contribute to this thread, why do they not identify themselves as working for Xybr?
>>

I sure appreciate your honesty in admitting that you work for a direct competitor of XYBR and have much to lose if XYBR manages to
incorporate SONY's consumer savvy in its product!
<<
I bet that the SI Xybr lurkers won't answer these questions, because it won't help them to hype their stock by admitting that there might be some serious technical roadblocks that will get in the way of their rosey vision.
