RMF, You are so right. I eagerly bought the book "State of Denial" by Bob Woodward. Then, it became difficult to read it. As Woodward recounted the contents of many interviews with important decision makers I got angrier and angrier. The screw ups within many layers of the Bush administration were well cataloged. Time after time I had to set the book aside and do something else while I cooled off. Hopefully, the American public has learned its lesson and may rise above the 20 second sound bite constructed by the Republican propaganda machine and vote more thoughtfully in the future. If we could have spent the umpteen billions wasted on the Iraq misadventure on programs to cease dependence on ME oil we and many other parts of the world would be safer. Militant Islam would be less well funded and not have so much enmity against us as we could leave Muslims over there more to their own infighting.
