ILCUL8R,

There are going to be a LOT more books detailing the WASTE that occurred in Iraq with the NO BID (and apparently NO supervision) contracts.

I guess the traceable waste on Katrina is now approaching 2 BILLION also.

Bush is looking more and more like Warren Harding everyday. At least Warren had some women on the side and the weekly high stakes poker game. Bush only gets to ride his bicycle.

We've been spoiled in this country over the last 24 years or so. We, as citizens have pretty much been able to live our lives oblivious to things that other parts of the world live with everyday. Until natural gas and then gasoline started to rise there wasn't much to be concerned about...and for most voters those things were things that weren't easily identified with political parties or substantive issues. Then we started to see Americans die on our television news every night. THAT was something that even the most disinterested voter could associate with a particular party.

NOW..other things are happening. Mortgage foreclosures and such. This isn't going to affect the middle class immediately, but it will eventually.

I have a pretty strong feeling that the voters in the next election will not just pick their candidates based on "sound bites".
