don't you think this is a little suspect? a release of scandal on two last days of the year. do we have a bunch of hedge funds that were short looking for quick way to recover some loss before books close? i think we need to investigate the investigator leaks. g S&P Reiterates Buy on "Unconfirmed" Reports APPLE COMPUTER Symbol: AAPL S&P REITERATES BUY OPINION ON SHARES OF APPLE COMPUTER Recent Price : $81.51 Recommendation: Shares are indicated lower this morning following an unconfirmed report from The Recorder and Marketwatch that federal prosecutors are investigating stock option administration documents. The article also states that CEO Steve Jobs hired outside legal representation, separate from AAPL's lawyers. Although the stock option investigations may lead to financial restatements, additional legal costs, and management distraction, we see positive near-term catalysts aiding stock performance.
