Here are my picks for Jan 07. I purchased them all today, 12/27/06. Actual purchase price is listed, which is typically 1% below today's close. All these stocks are beaten down for a reason. I weeded out some really ugly cases, leaving these: USD stocks price/mkt cap -- story AEY 2.79 /29M -- profitable CATV equipment vendor, lost customers HYGS 1.28 /118M -- unprofitable fuel cell maker, out of favor sector MCEL 0.91/45M -- unprofitable fuel cell maker, out of favor sector CRTX 1.86/79M -- unprofitable biopharmaceutical, asthma drug, restructuring, dilution VSTY 1.67/30M -- unprofitable uniform vendor, undoing a diversification gone bad, my favorite co. CAD stocks price/mkt cap -- story EON.V 0.91 /23M -- oilfield pipeline construction, not much info on them, claims to be near profitability ESY.TO 0.49 /5M -- profitable software for online gambling, biz will be hurt by new US law RVE.TO 3.44 /68M -- unprofitable natural gas producer, adding production
