I love excellent rare steak.

As a child, before all the fuss and muss of mad this and angry that, I used to eat ground round raw with salt and sometimes added pepper. It was a huge treat as my mother had had them cut off most of the fat and grind it twice.

Both my sister and I enjoyed it.

She would only allow us a little bit and then it was formed into hamburger shape or cooked in a dish of some sort and the excellent taste disappeared into generic food whatever.
