Accrued December Short Interest and year to date comparison shows that the overall market has added just over 1 Billion shares Short since Nov of 2005, I have begun the process of integrating this data with the weekly naz data and the SIP data being collected under MM1 MM2 and MM3. Going forward it should help strengthen the combined data sets to the assumptions which need to be made. Naz gross data since july appears to show a 6% decline in liquidity, it will be interesting to see how this years Short interest correlates to the gross Naz trade for the same period.
