The USA allows turning right on a red light.

It's a state by state issue. Although most allow it, a few states, mostly back east, don't.

We are not allowed the equivalent move here [to the left] because our intelligence is considered too low.

I have seen a few green arrows down your way that do. Not many, for sure. At least you guys know how to handle roundabouts. No one here has a clue as to how to handle the few that we have..
