Bruiser,
Maybe in recent days things went somewhat as you describe but this has been a long running thing, years even, and involving very much more than the recent flare up.

Here is the crux of the business: some of the posters on the Elmat board have come to take a VERY anti-American stand on most everything, especially anything that relates to China in any way whatsoever.

Of course they don't like anything about the Iraq adventure. Now anybody with half a brain can see that our "special relationship" with Israel is at the root of most of this trouble so it is very difficult to maintain the perfect "Chamber of Commerce" image and still bash the US with impunity about Iraq and the rest.

For my part, I wish the "special relationship" didn't exist at all. You know that back in the beginnings of the CIA you had a very powerful "pro-Arab" faction who were hostile to Israel within the agency but over the years they were pushed aside by the more "globalist" types partial to Israel.
