We drove up to Anacortes today, and thought of you skiing...It WAS breathtakingly beautiful, that's for sure! The views from the hills by the Ferry were just splendid....We even drove around up there in several developments, just to see what was there.

I was so disappointed....LOTS of new houses there, but not a single new one that I would want to have, even if it was given to me. Looks like the architects couldn't make up their minds if they wanted a western house, a NW house, a ranch house on stilts, or just what.

We both were surprised! And would both rather have an older house that had some character, than a single one of those. Of course, there are some wonderful older homes on the cliff overlooking the water that are lovely!

'Course, then there was the 4200'foot new Condo in Gig Harbor with a 180degree view that I fell in love with that was totally different as well. LOTS of character <gggg>
But now I know why I really love the homes up in the Lynden area....they are all unique, different, some large, some small, and all beautiful in their own way.

You were wise to quit skiing in 4 hours when it was so crowded....that sounds worse than the freeway.....

But did you get some suntan?
