Her older brother was married a year or so earlier. I don't see him either and, of course, never met his new wife. But, I got the nicest, thoughtful thank you card from her soon after the wedding. Parenting is what this is all about.

Now that I'm thinking about this, these two aren't my niece and nephew at all, but the children of my niece. Whatever that makes them, in addition to impolite.
