Not if you boost the compression ratio of the engine but then you couldn't burn gas. OTOH if you add 10% ethanol to gasoline it will up the power because of the more complete burn. Plus you reduce pollution by 60%.

Now why corn? George Washington made corn whiskey so we know how to make ethanol out of corn and have for a long time. Illinois was one of the first states to go with the 90/10 blend back in 1974 and if there's one thing Illinois has, it's corn.

You can rest easy, we're both happy now. Because of the jump in corn prices I won't get $4,000 of your money in subsidies payments because the price has risen. Then on my side I'll make $57k more on the grain I'm holding over.
