I know what you mean. Years ago it seemed rare that the Roanoke Times had very much to state about VT that was positive. Have you noticed that when VT gets no respect they feed off the'diss'. Some guy on the Georgia team was quoted in our area as saying he didn't see anything special about our defense because they play similar defenses every week in the SEC. I thought! Be careful there 'bud', you are awakening a sleeping giant....and he is. It's not just the team either. It's the whole Hokie nation, fans whomever. Show us no respect and we will come alive. I've noticed one reason that Bob Bowden always beats us: he gets on there a week before the game and it's like he says. "we just need to try and keep the game close: we need to stay in the game in the 4th quarter: you can't let them get a big lead, you don't have a chance against them if you do: they don't have any weaknesses, they can beat you in any phase of the game, he compliments the team,the players, the coaches...it keeps us from getting fired up and he comes out and beats Beamer every time so far.." Go Hokies...Beat Georgia....
